Konsep Menstra dalam Usaha (1)

Entah, dari dulu memang tertarik atau memang alur waktu, sekarang saya jadi suka sekali konsep manajemen strategi. Kalau saya yang dulu - kurang lebih 4 tahun yang lalu - mungkin lebih semangat mempelajari menstra ini. Tapi kenapa dikasih-nya baru sekarang? Yah, inilah rencana Tuhan. Kalau saja diberikan 4 tahun yang lalu saat saya masih remaja dan begitu menggebu dengan yang namanya visi misi, mungkin yang bisa saya serap hanya kulitnya saja. Dan saya akan menjadi benar-benar pragmatis. Nah sekarang, sudah lebih tua dan bisa memahami esensi suatu hal. Jadinya punya arah tujuan yang lebih matang.
Yang ingin saya soroti dalam tulisan kali ini adalah musim makanan pedas. Tahun lalu, di Surabaya sudah mulai musim makanan pedas. Hanya saja dampaknya ke daerah baru terasa sekarang. Apalagi di Jember. Beberapa bulan terakhir mulai marak pedagang: mi lidi (pelopor), bakso granat, maicih,  dan yang belakangan adalah mie setan. Kalau saya ngga salah ingat, baru sebulan lalu dibuka ruko Mie dan Bakso Setan.
Yang ingin saya cermati, mengapa ruko itu dibuka atas nama Mie dan Bakso Setan? Bukankah pedas itu pilihan, selera. Dan orang kan ngga setiap hari ingin makan pedas. Apalagi menunya kalau ngga mie yaa bakso. Itu kan kurang strategis. Kalau menurut saya - andaikan saya pemilik usaha tsb nih yaa - saya akan buka restoran saja. Kemudian di restoran itu akan saya buat beragam menu untuk pelanggan. Nanti, mie setan dan bakso setan akan saya jadikan salah satu menu khusus untuk menarik pelanggan dan sebagai salah satu menu khas resto saya.
Jadinya kan, nanti pelanggan kalau bosan sama mie setan bisa pilih menu lain. Kadang ada orang masih belum kenyang rasanya kalau ngga makan nasi. Nah, kita sediakan itu! Selain itu, beragamnya menu ini bisa jadi strategi untuk mempertahankan pelanggan.
Tapi itukan kalau saya yang jadi bosnya. Konsep Mie Setan itu juga sudah oke kok. Tinggal menambahkan menu lain saja di listnya. Selesai deh! Gampang, kan.
